Technical Description
The Zettelmeyer ZL602C is a compact wheel loader designed for efficient material handling in confined spaces. Powered by a KHD BF4 L 1011 FT, 4-cylinder, turbocharged, oil/air-cooled diesel engine, it delivers 60 hp (45 kW) gross and 57 hp (43 kW) net at 2,300 rpm, with peak torque at 1,800 rpm. The loader features a hydrostatic full powershift transmission with two forward and two reverse gears, enabling smooth operation and a top speed of 12.5 mph (19 km/h) in both directions. Its hydraulic system provides a relief valve setting of 3,190 psi, pump flow capacity of 13.8 gal/min (49 l/min), and fast cycle times: 6 seconds to raise, 3 seconds to lower, and 1 second to dump. The loader has a heaped bucket capacity of 1.1 cu yds (1 m³), a bucket width of 5.8 ft (2 m), and a breakout force of 9,104.8 lbs (4,130 kg). Dump clearance at max raise is 8.2 ft (2 m), and hinge pin height reaches 10.3 ft (3 m). The operating weight is 10,141.3 lbs (4,600 kg), with a static tipping weight of 7,716.2 lbs (3,500 kg). The machine is equipped with 12.5-20 tires, a 6.6 ft (2 m) wheelbase, and a turning radius of 13.5 ft (4 m). Fluid capacities include 15.9 gal (57 l) for fuel and hydraulic system, 2.8 gal (8 l) for engine oil, and 2.7–3 gal (8–11 l) for axles. The loader operates on a 12 V electrical system with a 60 A alternator and features a rear axle oscillation of 20° for improved stability on uneven terrain.
