17" x 48" Doall/Romi #17 Toolroom Engine Lathe - Precision & Performance

The Doall model 17 engine lathe is designed for toolroom accuracy while providing the durability required for production machining. It features a 17 in swing over bed, 48 in distance between centers, and 9.625 in swing over the cross slide. The machine is equipped with a D1-8 camlock spindle nose, a 3-1/8 in spindle bore, and a 10 HP spindle motor with a spindle speed range of 40 to 2,120 RPM. Additional features include an Acu-Rite 2-axis digital readout (DRO), inch and metric threading with 96 threading changes supporting 1/2–42 TPI and 0.4–56 mm thread pitches, a #4 Morse taper tailstock, hardened and ground bed ways, and a full-length splash guard. Included with the machine are a 12 in 3-jaw chuck and a quick-change tool post (no holders). The lathe has an approximate weight of 5,000 lb. The machine is noted as on its way in.
