The ZEISS O-INSPECT 322 is a 2021 model multisensor coordinate measuring machine (CMM) designed for high-precision quality control applications. It provides measurement travel dimensions across the X, Y, and Z axes of 11.81 inches (300 mm) by 7.87 inches (200 mm) by 7.87 inches (200 mm). Combining tactile and optical measurement technologies, the system is engineered to capture complex 3D features and surface topologies with high accuracy across varying ambient temperatures ranging from 18°C to 30°C. For tactile scanning, the machine is equipped with the ZEISS VAST XXT TL3 contact probing system, which enables low-force, high-accuracy scanning of form and position characteristics. The optical system features telecentric zoom optics—such as the Discovery.V12 lens—along with adaptive LED illumination to provide clear, high-contrast imaging without perspective distortion regardless of distance. The machine setup includes essential accessories to support continuous, automated operation, including a standard probe qualification sphere, a qualification artifact designed specifically for camera calibration, and an integrated probe changer rack capable of holding up to eight individual probes.
