The 2023 Star SB-20R Type G is a high-precision Swiss-type automatic screw machine designed for advanced multi-axis machining applications. Engineered for performance and stability, the machine features a 20 mm spindle hole diameter, a powerful 3.7 kW spindle motor, and an impressive top speed of 10,000 RPM. Operating across 7 axes, it offers superior versatility for complex component manufacturing. Control is managed via a reliable Fanuc 0i-TF CNC control system, complete with a Fanuc installation for the gang tool post to streamline precision tool movements. The tooling setup includes an ER-16 drilling unit for the gang tool post and a 16 mm boring sleeve, enhancing its secondary operation capabilities. To maintain exceptional machining accuracy and minimize tool wear during continuous, high-speed operations, the unit is integrated with a specialized anti-vibration device. Workholding and material handling accessories consist of an F25/64 headstock and pick-off collet, a spindle liner, an additional guide chain set, and standard accessories. Material feeding is handled by a high-capacity IEMCA Ideal 326 12-foot automatic bar feeder, which features a bar capacity ranging from 3 mm to 26 mm, one guide channel/chain set, one pusher, and one nose configuration for continuous production. Environmental air quality and shop safety are maintained through an attached Mist Buster mist collector unit.
