The Bareiss RB3000 is an automatic pendulum rebound resilience tester designed to determine the elasticity of elastomers, rubber compounds, and soft elastic foams according to international standards including ISO 4662, ASTM D7121, DIN 53512, and DIN 13014. The device utilizes the Schob pendulum principle, measuring the relation between returned and impact energy. It features a motorized pendulum release and return system for a fully automated test sequence, minimizing operator influence. The mechanical system is constructed from high-strength aluminum and includes a 15mm diameter hemispherical hammer fin connected to a virtually frictionless air bearing system with a high-resolution non-contact encoder for precise angle measurement. Technical specifications include a pendulum capacity of 0.5 Joule, an impact velocity of 1.98 m/s, and a 200 mm pendulum length. The unit accommodates cured rubber buttons or sheets with thicknesses ranging from 0 to 30 mm and diameters between 28 and 65 mm. It is equipped with an integrated 5 or 7-inch color touchscreen interface and supports data export via USB and RS232 interfaces. Optional configurations include interchangeable pendulums for foam testing (0.196J or 0.2J), a vacuum sample holder, and temperature control modules capable of testing from -40°C to +100°C.
