THE CAT9532WI-T1 IS AN ON SEMICONDUCTOR 16-CHANNEL PROGRAMMABLE LED DIMMER INTEGRATED CIRCUIT, SUPPLIED IN A SOIC-24 PACKAGE. IT IS DESIGNED FOR LED DRIVER APPLICATIONS INCLUDING BACKLIGHTING, RGB COLOR MIXING, AND SENSOR CONTROL. THIS DEVICE PROVIDES 16 INDIVIDUAL OPEN-DRAIN OUTPUTS, EACH CONFIGURABLE TO SINK UP TO 25MA OF CURRENT. EACH OUTPUT OFFERS INDIVIDUAL 8-BIT (256-STEP) LINEAR BRIGHTNESS CONTROL, SUPPLEMENTED BY AN 8-BIT GLOBAL BRIGHTNESS CONTROL. THE IC OPERATES FROM A LOGIC SUPPLY VOLTAGE RANGING FROM 2.3V TO 5.5V AND COMMUNICATES VIA AN I2C-BUS COMPATIBLE INTERFACE, SUPPORTING SPEEDS UP TO 400KHZ IN FAST-MODE. AN INTERNAL OSCILLATOR IS INTEGRATED FOR TIMING.
