Technical Description

The Acra FDM-3000 Vertical Machining Center is a robust, high-capacity CNC machine designed for demanding production environments. It features a large worktable measuring 118" x 47" (expandable to 118" x 67" as an option), supporting workpieces up to 13,215 lbs, making it suitable for heavy-duty machining tasks. The vertical spindle is equipped with a BT-50 taper and delivers 37.5 HP (30-minute rating) at a maximum speed of 3,000 RPM, ensuring strong cutting performance and compatibility with large tools. Tool management is handled by a 40-station arm-type automatic tool changer (expandable to 60 tools), with a rapid tool change time of 10 seconds for increased productivity. The machine operates on three axes (X, Y, Z), offering extensive travel ranges: 126" on X, 55" (up to 94" optional) on Y, and 30" on Z. All axes provide a maximum feed rate of 196 IPM and rapid traverse speeds of 472 IPM, enabling fast and precise movements.
