The ACRA FEL-1700 Horizontal Machining Center is a high-performance CNC lathe engineered for precision turning applications. It features a robust main spindle with a maximum turning diameter of 10.9", a maximum turning length of 60", and a maximum swing of 17", supporting a chuck diameter up to 8". The spindle accommodates bar stock up to 2" in diameter and delivers a maximum speed of 2,800 RPM, powered by a standard 7.5 HP motor with an optional 10 HP upgrade for demanding tasks. The machine is equipped with a single main spindle and a tool post primary carrier, allowing up to four tools in the turret, with one tool cutting at a time. Designed for versatility, the FEL-1700 offers two-axis control (X and Z), with X-axis travel of 9.5" and Z-axis travel of 37" (optionally extendable to 57"). Rapid traverse rates reach 314 ipm on both X and Z axes, ensuring efficient cycle times. The system supports simultaneous movement on two axes, enabling complex contouring and high-accuracy machining.
