The ACRA FEL-K22/26 is a heavy-duty CNC flat bed lathe engineered for precision turning operations. Featuring a single main spindle with a maximum turning diameter of 16 inches and extended turning length capacity of 26 inches, this machine delivers 15 horsepower for robust cutting performance. The spindle incorporates a maximum swing of 2.8 inches and utilizes a 3-inch or 4-inch bore supported by three C-7 angular contact bearings, driven by a 2-speed gearbox with precision-ground alloy steel gears for reliable operation across varying speed ranges of 3 to 1,200 RPM. The machine operates on a 2-axis configuration with X, Y, and Z axis capabilities. The X-axis provides 14 inches of travel with a maximum feed rate of 20 ipm and rapid traverse of 393 ipm, while both Y and Z axes match these feed specifications. The Z-axis offers 75 inches of standard travel, expandable to 115 inches, accommodating extended workpieces. The turret tool carrier (H4/V8 configuration) manages up to 8 turning tools with one simultaneous cutting tool for efficient single-point machining operations. Construction features a one-piece Meehanite base with heavily ribbed double walls and integral box ways that are induction hardened and ground for exceptional rigidity and precision.
