Technical Description

The ALZMETALL GS 1000/5 Vertical Machining Center is a high-performance, 5-axis CNC machine engineered for precision and rigidity in demanding machining environments. Featuring a robust gantry design with a box-in-box travel system, the GS 1000/5 delivers exceptional stability and accuracy. The machine offers X, Y, and Z-axis travels of 31.5 inches (800 mm), 31.5 inches (800 mm), and 23.6 inches (600 mm), respectively, enabling versatile workpiece handling. Its integrated motor spindle delivers up to 39.5 hp (29.5 kW) and a maximum speed of 12,000 RPM, supporting high-efficiency milling, drilling, turning, and grinding operations in a single setup. The automatic tool changer (ATC) accommodates 33 tools, ensuring rapid and flexible tooling transitions. The machine’s table can support up to 1,000 kg (2,200 lbs), with an option for 1,500 kg (3,300 lbs) for heavier workpieces.
