The ALZMETALL GS 1000/5-FDT Vertical Machining Center is a robust 5-axis CNC machine designed for high-precision milling and hybrid machining applications including drilling, milling, turning, and grinding in a single clamping setup. It features an extensive travel capacity of 31.5 inches (800 mm) in both X and Y axes and 23.6 inches (600 mm) in the Z axis, facilitating the machining of sizeable workpieces. The machine is powered by a 53.6 hp spindle capable of reaching up to 12,000 RPM, delivering high cutting performance and dynamic responsiveness. It is equipped with a 33-position automatic tool changer (ATC), enabling diverse tool use and efficient production cycles. The machine’s construction integrates grey cast iron and spheroidal graphite cast iron for optimal rigidity, thermal stability, and vibration damping.
