A+Technical Description
This vertical machining center features a 5-axis configuration with travels of 78.7" x 78.7" (X, Y) and 39.3" (Z), extendable optionally to 236" x 118" for X and Y axes, enabling machining of very large workpieces up to 10,000 lbs. The machine is equipped with a vertical spindle taper HSK 63A, capable of reaching up to 24,000 RPM in standard configuration, with an optional 18,000 RPM variant available. The spindle delivers 60 HP at a 30-minute rating, upgradeable to 90 HP for increased power output, suitable for heavy-duty cutting operations. The table size is 78.7" square, with optional table dimensions of 157.48" x 98.42". There is no support index table or pallet changer integrated. The tool carrier features an automatic tool changer (ATC), providing flexible tooling options. Axis feed rates and rapid traverse speeds reach up to 2,358 inches per minute with a rotary B axis offering 210 degrees of rotation. The machine is designed for heavy-duty, high-precision machining with a large work envelope and robust spindle performance for complex and large-part manufacturing. The HSK 63A spindle interface ensures high-speed capability, excellent rigidity, and repeatable tool positioning during machining at high rpm. This configuration is well-suited for aerospace, mold-making, and large-scale precision components, providing extensive travel and powerful spindle options for demanding five-axis milling applications.
