Technical Description

The Beuthling B300 is a high-capacity static and vibratory smooth drum roller designed for efficient compaction on asphaltic base, surface courses, and light sub-base applications. It features a 36-inch wide rear drum combined with a 30-inch split front drum, providing a total operating width of 44 inches and enhanced maneuverability with a tight inside turning radius of 72 inches. The unit’s smooth drum design ensures even asphalt distribution and a high-quality finished surface. Powered by a Kohler engine with a maximum speed of 3,200 RPM, the B300 delivers a vibration frequency of up to 2,300 impulses per minute (vpm), though a commonly specified maximum vibrator shaft speed is 1,800 vpm, optimized for soil and finished blacktop compaction. The roller can operate with or without liquid ballast in the drums to adjust weight for static or vibratory compaction, with liquid ballast increasing static weight and better compaction achieved without ballast during vibration. The B300’s overall length is 97 inches, with curb and wall clearances of 10.5 inches and 2.25 inches respectively, allowing operation close to obstructions. The vibratory system employs two eccentrically timed shafts to produce a pure vertical compaction force, minimizing forward or backward motion for smooth rolling. Built for small to medium jobs including driveways and pedestrian walkways, the Beuthling B300 combines durability, ease of operation, and precision compaction, making it a reliable choice for contractors and municipalities.
