The Burkhardt+Weber MCR 750 is a horizontal machining center engineered for heavy-duty precision work with exceptional rigidity and thermal stability. Travel ranges include 43.31" in X and Z axes (with optional Z extension to 49.21") and 33.2" in the Y axis, all achieving rapid traverse rates of 1,179 ipm. The automatic tool changer accommodates 120 tools as standard, expandable to 570 tools for maximum flexibility, with a tool change chip time of 13 seconds. The machine features manually scraped linear guideways in accuracy class G0, a temperature-controlled machine bed with active cooling throughout, and water-cooled axis drives ensuring long-term accuracy and thermal compensation.
