Technical Description

The 1998 Busellato Junior 60 4-Y is a horizontal CNC machining center engineered for precision woodworking and advanced carpentry applications. This robust system features an expansive operating field with X-axis strokes of 3,200 mm (125.98"), Y-axis strokes of 1,220 mm (48"), and Z-axis strokes of 60 mm (2.4"), enabling machining of large workpieces with exceptional accuracy. Maximum positioning speeds reach 196 FPM on the X-axis, 164 FPM on the Y-axis, and 33 FPM on the Z-axis, delivering efficient production cycles. The machine incorporates a sophisticated boring head assembly with 27 independently selectable vertical spindles powered by a 4 HP motor, strategically distributed with 11 spindles along the Y-axis and 16 along the X-axis, plus one shared spindle. Two horizontal boring heads with 64 mm pitch enable simultaneous right and left-side boring operations. The routing capabilities include a 10 HP reversible routing spindle and a 9.5 HP router operating from 0 to 18,000 RPM via solid-state inverter, complemented by a dedicated 5 HP grooving saw for specialized cutting tasks. An automatic tool changer with five-position tool holders and ISO-30 adapters streamlines tooling transitions. The work platform features eight panel supports, each equipped with three vacuum cups for secure workholding, along with two independent work zones and adjustable reference stops for precise positioning. The system incorporates upgraded CNC controls with a 14" color monitor, multiple communication ports, and integrated safety features including front and rear photo eyes.
