It operates on a 3-axis system (X, Y, Z) with travels of 47.2", 29.6", and 25.5" respectively, each axis capable of a maximum feed rate of 393 in/min and a rapid traverse rate of 590 in/min, enabling efficient material removal and reduced cycle times. The spindle is vertical with a Big Plus CAT-40 taper, providing dual-contact mounting that increases tool rigidity by simultaneous contact of the spindle taper and face, significantly reducing deflection and improving machining accuracy and tool life. The spindle runs up to 12,000 RPM and delivers 20 HP (30-minute rating), supporting a range of machining operations from heavy cutting to fine finishing.
