Technical Description
The Case CX250C LR is a long-reach hydraulic excavator designed for enhanced productivity and versatility in heavy construction applications. It features a powerful Isuzu AM-4HK1X, Tier 4 Interim-compliant diesel engine delivering a net power output of 177 hp (132 kW), with a maximum torque of approximately 622–643 Nm at 1800 rpm. The engine incorporates a high-pressure common rail system and turbocharging, ensuring efficient fuel combustion and reduced emissions. The CX250C LR has an operating weight of about 62,100 lbs (28,200 kg), including an 8.0 m (26.2 ft) arm, 0.37 m³ bucket, lubricant, coolant, full fuel tank, and operator.
The excavator excels in reach and digging capability, with a maximum digging depth of 47.8 ft (14.56 m) and a maximum reach along ground of 51.3 ft (15.6 m). Its boom length is 10.3 m, paired with an 8.0 m arm and a bucket radius of 1.2 m, providing effective long-reach performance. Bucket digging force reaches 36,419 lbf (162 kN), boosted to 39,117 lbf (174 kN) with auto power-boost function for demanding earthmoving tasks. The machine supports a 70% gradeability (35° slope), allowing operation on challenging terrains.
Hydraulically, it has a 250-liter ISO VG 46 hydraulic system with a max oil flow of 20 liters/min, operating various circuits including boom, bucket, swing, and travel at pressures up to 34.3 MPa. Travel speeds range from 3.5 km/h to 5.5 km/h, supported by a robust undercarriage featuring 51 triple-grouser track shoes per side (800 mm width), 9 track rollers, and 2 upper rollers per track.
Operator safety and comfort are addressed via a ROPS and FOPS Level 1 protected cab, with boom-mounted work lights and centralized grease fittings for maintenance efficiency. The excavator offers excellent maneuverability with a compact swing radius of 2.95 m and ground clearance of 440 mm. Fuel capacity is 410 liters, enabling extended operation. These features make the Case CX250C LR suitable for deep excavation, trenching, and heavy-duty long-reach applications in construction and infrastructure projects.
