The Caterpillar CB34 XW is a versatile smooth drum roller designed for efficient compaction in medium-sized construction projects. It features an overall width of 4.9 ft (58.8 in), and a compact turning radius of 9.7 ft, ensuring excellent maneuverability in confined areas. The machine is equipped with a 55-inch wide, 31-inch diameter drum, delivering a compaction width of 55 inches. It offers dual vibratory frequencies of 4,140 and 3,660 vibrations per minute (69 and 61 Hz) with an amplitude of 0.020 in (0.50 mm), generating a centrifugal force of 6,638 lb (29.5 kN), ideal for thin asphalt lifts and varied soil types. Powered by a reliable Caterpillar C2.2 diesel engine, the CB34 XW produces a gross power output of 46 hp (34.1 kW) at 2400 rpm, with a net power of 45 hp (33 kW).
