The Caterpillar CB54B is a versatile 10-ton tandem vibratory smooth drum roller designed for compacting asphalt and granular materials with high efficiency. It features tandem drums with a 67-inch (1700 mm) compaction width and 47-inch (1198 mm) drum diameter. The roller is powered by a robust Cat C4.4 ACERT engine delivering 133.2 hp (99 kW), ensuring reliable performance and compliance with emission standards. Equipped with a hydraulic direct, auto-reversing eccentric weight drive, the vibratory system offers dual frequency settings (43 and 63.3 vibrations per minute) and nominal amplitude of 0.1 inches for effective mat compaction. The vibration can be selected independently for front drum, rear drum, or both drums, optimizing compaction quality and control.
