Technical Description

The CHIRON DZ12 FX is a high-performance 5-axis vertical machining center engineered for precision manufacturing of complex components. This compact double-spindle system features working envelope dimensions of 550mm (X-axis), 400mm (Y-axis), and 420mm (Z-axis), with a maximum spindle clearance of 250mm between spindles. Powered by a 40kW motor delivering up to 15,000 rpm spindle speed with maximum torque of 45 Nm, the machine achieves rapid chip-to-chip times of approximately 2.2 seconds. The machine accommodates HSK-A 50 DIN 69893 tool taper with maximum tool diameter of 60mm, tool length of 250mm, and tool weight capacity of 3kg, featuring automatic tool change capability with approximately 0.9-second change time. The 2-axis NC swivel rotary table enables infinitely programmable positioning from -10° to +100° with ±5" repetition accuracy, supported by direct path-measuring system ECN 225 and backlash-free precision gear technology. The rotary table faceplate measures 280mm diameter with thread and locating hole grid M16 x ø15H7 x 50mm, providing maximum transport weight capacity of 320kg and maximum transmittable torque of 800Nm when clamped.
