A+Technical Description
The DMG MORI CTX Beta 2000 TC is a versatile turn-mill machining center engineered for precision 5-axis simultaneous machining and complete part production. Featuring an ultra-compact compactMASTER spindle design, this horizontal machining center accommodates workpieces up to 24.8 inches in diameter and 78.7 inches in length, with a maximum bar diameter capacity of 4 inches. The main spindle delivers 5,000 rpm at 44.3 hp, while an optional counter spindle operating at 4,000 rpm provides 38 kW of power, enabling true 6-sided complete machining without secondary setups. The machine incorporates a VDI 40 turret with driven tools and optional DirectDrive capability up to 10,000 rpm for enhanced milling performance. With X, Y, and Z-axis rapid traverses reaching 1,574 ipm and configurable 3 to 4-axis simultaneous capability, the CTX Beta 2000 TC combines exceptional speed with precise positioning accuracy below 1 micrometer. The machine features direct measuring systems by Magnescale on all axes and maintenance-free linear drive in the Z-axis, ensuring maximum precision and thermal stability. A large automatic tool magazine with up to 100 tool positions, coupled with quick-change TRIFIX interfaces and tool setup times under 30 seconds, maximizes productivity. Controlled by a SIEMENS SINUMERIK 840D control system with DMG MORI's exclusive technology cycles and CELOS app-based interface, this machine represents the premium standard for universal mill-turn manufacturing.
