The horizontal spindle is rated at 29.5 HP (30-minute rating) with a top speed of 14,000 RPM, optionally upgradable to 20,000 RPM, providing high-speed cutting performance. Tool management is handled via a 40-station automatic tool changer (ATC), with an option for up to 360 tools, enhancing flexibility for complex jobs. The machine incorporates DMG MORI’s proprietary Driven at the Center of Gravity (DCG) technology which significantly reduces vibrations by driving components at their center of gravity, improving accuracy and surface finish.
