The DMG MORI NHX 10000 is a high-capacity horizontal machining center designed for heavy-duty machining with a 39.4" x 39.4" table capable of supporting workpieces up to 11,023 lbs. It features a horizontal spindle with a maximum speed of 12,000 RPM, optionally upgradeable to 16,000 RPM, powered by a 60.3 HP motor rated for 30 minutes. The machine comes standard with a 60-tool automatic tool changer (ATC), expandable up to 330 tools, and includes a standard pallet changer to enhance productivity. It operates on a three-axis system (X, Y, Z) with extensive travel of 66.9", 55.1", and 59.4" respectively, each axis capable of rapid traverse speeds up to 1,968 ipm. The NHX 10000’s robust support structure features a standard indexed table with an optional rotary table for complex multi-face machining. This design is optimized for high rigidity and precision, suitable for large, heavy parts in automotive, aerospace, and heavy machinery manufacturing. The absence of a U axis indicates it is a standard 3-axis machine with additional rotary functionality available as an option.
