It features an 8-axis configuration, combining 6 linear axes and 2 C-axes, controlled through a FANUC 32i-B Plus CNC system with a 10.4" color display. The machine is equipped with a powerful main spindle delivering up to 8,500 RPM and 7.4 HP, with a matching counter spindle also running at 8,500 RPM but with 3 HP, enabling simultaneous dual-spindle operations for improved productivity. The spindle accommodates bar diameters up to 1.3" and ensures high torque (29.8 ft-lbs main spindle), suitable for versatile machining tasks including long and short part turning. Tooling capabilities include 10 turning tools and 10 rotary tools on the primary tool carrier, with driven tools capable of 6,000 RPM and 1.3 HP each, supporting up to 3 simultaneous cutting tools. The machine features 8 driven tool stations as standard, enabling complex multitasking and back-working operations. Its design incorporates large ball guideways for consistent rigidity and accuracy, thermo-symmetric machine bed construction for thermal stability, and vertical covers allowing efficient chip removal.
