The DN Solutions VC 630/5AX is a high-performance 5-axis vertical machining center designed for precision and heavy-duty machining of complex parts in a single setup. It features a highly rigid integral rotary/tilt table with a diameter of 630 mm (24.8 in) and a maximum table load capacity of 1,100 lbs (500 kg). The machine supports full 5-axis simultaneous machining, enabling access to five sides of a workpiece, which reduces setup times and increases machining accuracy. The VC 630/5AX is equipped with a vertical #40 taper built-in spindle delivering up to 10,000 rpm with a 32 HP (30-minute rating) motor, optimized for high-speed cutting and exceptional rigidity. The spindle design includes 4-row precision ceramic bearings for reduced centrifugal force and heat, enhancing spindle life and surface finish quality. The machine has travels of 25.59" (X), 30.12" (Y), and 20.47" (Z), with rapid traverse rates of 1,575 ipm in each axis. The 5-axis capability is complemented by rotary and tilt table axes, with the A-axis capable of +/- 150° rotation for complex angled machining. Tool handling is facilitated by a 40-station automatic tool changer (ATC) with a tool change time of 7 seconds and chip-to-chip time of 15 seconds, supporting efficient production cycles. Optional features include an automatic pallet changer to further enhance productivity. The control interface supports advanced programming, collision avoidance, and simulation for optimized machining performance.
