Technical Description

The Doosan NHP 6300 is a high-performance horizontal machining center designed for precision, rigidity, and heavy-duty cutting applications. It features a robust one-piece Meehanite cast iron bed with a double-wall structure to optimize vibration absorption and machine stability. The machine provides substantial travels of 1050 mm (X-axis), 900 mm (Y-axis), and 1000 mm (Z-axis), accommodating workpieces up to 1050 mm in diameter, 1350 mm in height, and weighing as much as 1500 kg. It is equipped with a CAT 50 Big Plus spindle system capable of 10,000 rpm maximum speed, delivering up to 600 Nm of torque, supported by a dual-wound motor design that maximizes low-speed torque for aggressive roughing cuts. The spindle achieves rapid acceleration from 0 to 10,000 rpm in just 3.4 seconds and supports spindle-through coolant for efficient chip evacuation and tool cooling. The machine integrates a 5-axis CNC control system, specifically the Fanuc 31iB5, enabling simultaneous control of four axes plus an additional 5th axis, optimizing complex machining processes. The tool changer has a large 60-position capacity, supporting extended uninterrupted machining cycles. The rotary table with a diameter of approximately 320 mm (12.6 inches) allows for precise 4th and 5th axis operations.
