The Ecospeed Structure Horizontal Machining Center is a 5-axis high-performance horizontal spindle machining system engineered for precision manufacturing of complex aluminum structural components, particularly in aerospace applications. Featuring a horizontal spindle with HSK-A 63/80 taper (optional HSK-A 80), the machine delivers a maximum spindle speed of 24,000 RPM with 55 horsepower at standard configuration, scalable to 27 horsepower with optional 10,000 RPM capability for specialized applications. The work table accommodates parts up to 629 inches in length by 196 inches in width, with alternative configuration supporting 196 x 98-inch components, providing flexibility for diverse component geometries. The machine incorporates five full axes of simultaneous motion: three linear axes (X, Y, Z) with 630, 197, and 63-inch travel respectively, all delivering rapid traverse and feed rates of 984 ipm, complemented by dual rotary axes (A: ±240°, B: 360°) enabling dynamic 5-axis simultaneous machining. A standard dual-pallet changer system eliminates downtime between operations, streamlining production workflows. Utilizing Starrag's advanced Sprint Z3 parallel kinematic technology, the machine achieves exceptional spindle rigidity and acceleration, ensuring superior surface finish and dimensional accuracy on intricate aerospace structures.
