Technical Description
The ELHA RTX 5202 Vertical Machining Center is a high-performance, two-spindle rotary table machining center designed for precision vertical drilling, boring, countersinking, taper reaming, and tapping of holes arranged on bolt circles. Featuring a robust one-piece machine base constructed from vibration-damping composite material, the RTX 5202 ensures exceptional stability and accuracy during heavy-duty operations. The integrated crossbeam and angled substructure surfaces optimize chip removal and overall efficiency. The machine is equipped with a Ø820 mm rotary table featuring a 3-jaw power chuck, supporting workpieces with outer diameters from 500 to 1,500 mm, inner diameters from 180 to 780 mm, maximum heights up to 250 mm, and a maximum weight capacity of 1,500 kg. The dual ram units deliver solid drilling up to Ø35 mm and tapping up to M24, powered by a main drive with a maximum power of 20 kW (S1) and 30 kW (S6), and a maximum torque of 95 Nm (S1) and 143 Nm (S6), achieving spindle speeds up to 6,800 rpm. The X-axis travel is 925 mm (36.4 inches), and the Z-axis travel is 550 mm (21.7 inches), with rapid traverse speeds up to 30 m/min and maximum feed forces of 3,000 N (X-axis) and 8,000 N (Z-axis). The machine includes two fixed pick-up tool changers with space for up to 16 tools (HSK-A 63), a fully enclosed work area, and manually operated sliding doors for crane loading. With a total footprint of 5.8 x 3.7 x 3.6 m and a weight of 28,000 kg (61,729.4 lbs), the RTX 5202 is engineered for demanding industrial applications requiring high precision, reliability, and productivity.
