The 2022 ELUMATEC SBZ 628 S is a horizontal profile machining center designed for high-precision, automatic machining of metal profiles used in window, door, and curtain wall production. It can handle a maximum profile cross-section of 7.87 x 6.30 inches (200 x 160 mm) or vice versa, with a minimum cross-section as small as 1.18 x 0.39 inches (30 x 10 mm depending on gripper position). The machine accommodates blank bars up to 299.21 inches (7,600 mm) in length, producing finished parts from 13.78 to 181.10 inches (350 to 4,600 mm), and supports a shortest blank bar length of approximately 118.11 inches (3,000 mm). The machining center features five swing arms with an optional upgrade to nine, providing multiple mounting positions for profile feeding and machining. It employs a servo-driven linear infeed system optimized for precise and reliable profile positioning, coupled with motorized Y/Z gripper adjustments and optional gripper rotation for versatile profile handling. The machining station includes four servo-assisted routing spindles capable of precise routing, drilling, and cutting operations with full 360° spindle positioning on the profile. Sawing is performed via a two-axis saw unit with a 25.59-inch (650 mm) diameter saw blade, capable of pivoting between 45° and 135°, allowing complex separating cuts. The outfeed system includes a conveyor 157.48 inches (4,000 mm) wide with integrated lifting station and multiple swing arms to support and transport machined parts. Control is managed by a Beckhoff drive system, facilitating smooth operation and easy maintenance access. This configuration offers a combination of speed, flexibility, and precision suitable for advanced aluminum and metal profile machining applications.
