EMAG VM 9 VERTICAL MACHINING CENTER

The EMAG VM 9 Vertical Machining Center is a high-performance CNC turning machine designed for manufacturing large chucked components up to 17.5 inches (450 mm) in diameter with a maximum swing of 25.5 inches. It features a powerful main spindle rated at 65 HP and capable of speeds up to 800 RPM, optimized for heavy-duty machining with excellent torque and rigidity. The machine is equipped with an 8-position tool turret supporting one simultaneous cutting tool, with optional rotary tool power up to 6,000 HP for milling and drilling functions. The VM 9 operates primarily on two axes (X-axis travel of 13 inches and Z-axis travel of 19.5 inches), providing rapid traverse rates of 1,181 inches per minute, ensuring high productivity and quick cycle times. Its robust construction includes a Mineralit® polymer concrete base for superior damping, leading to improved machining accuracy and reduced vibrations. The ergonomic design ensures easy access to the machining area and maintenance components, reducing setup times and supporting flexible production of individual parts and small runs.
