Technical Description

The EMCO MAIER EMCOTURN E25 is a high-precision horizontal CNC turning center designed for versatile and efficient machining of small to medium-sized workpieces. Featuring a robust machine bed and thermally stable construction, it ensures excellent concentricity and long-term accuracy. The main spindle delivers a maximum turning diameter of 3.350" (85 mm) and a maximum turning length of 10.000" (255 mm), with a swing of 9.800" (250 mm) and a maximum bar stock diameter of 1.000" (25.5 mm). The spindle operates at speeds up to 6,300 rpm, powered by a 7.4 hp (5.5 kW) motor, enabling high-speed and high-torque applications. The machine is equipped with a 12-station VDI16 turret, supporting up to 12 turning tools and 6 driven rotary tools, each capable of 1.6 hp (1.2 kW) and 6,000 rpm, allowing for complex milling and drilling operations. The X-axis travel is 3.900" (100 mm) and the Z-axis travel is 11.800" (300 mm), with rapid traverse rates of 590 ipm (15 m/min) on both axes, ensuring fast and precise positioning. The EMCOTURN E25 supports 2-axis operation as standard, with optional 3-axis configuration for enhanced flexibility. The system features a manual tailstock with a quill stroke of 4.7" (120 mm) and a live center integrated into the quill. The machine is compatible with advanced CNC controls such as Siemens 828D or Fanuc 0iTC, providing powerful programming capabilities and conversational operation. Its compact design, dynamic servo motors, and precision headstock make it ideal for high-volume production and demanding machining tasks.
