Technical Description

The EMCO EMCOTURN E65 is a compact CNC turning center featuring a 40° slant bed design with exceptional precision and productivity. The main spindle delivers 24 horsepower with maximum torque of 305 Nm, capable of spindle speeds up to 5,000 rpm and accommodating bar stock up to 2.5 inches in diameter. The machine achieves a maximum turning diameter of 12.2 inches with a swing over bed of 21.3 inches and machining length of 20.5 inches between centers. A 12-station VDI30 tool turret provides rapid tool indexing with bi-directional logic for efficient production runs. The counter-spindle configuration includes 12 driven tools with independent 6.7 kW motor power and 5,000 rpm capability for simultaneous multi-axis operations. Two-axis movement includes 8.3 inches X-axis travel and 24 inches Z-axis travel with rapid traverse speeds of 945 ipm across all axes. The machine employs SINUMERIK 828D CNC control with 80-bit NANOFP accuracy technology, ensuring superior workpiece precision at minimal cycle time. Featuring a thermosymmetric spindle design and prestressed roller guides, the E65 maintains thermal stability for consistent accuracy. Optional Big Bore configuration extends bar capacity to 3.75 inches for processing steel, aluminum, and plastic components. With a compact footprint and 6,500 kg machine weight, the E65 delivers high-performance production capabilities ideal for complex turned parts requiring precision and speed.
