Technical Description
This high-performance 5-axis machining center features a working envelope of X: 25.59 inches, Y: 21.65 inches, and Z: 15.75 inches, designed for precision machining of complex 3D contours. Powered by a 17.39 hp spindle capable of reaching 42,000 rpm, the machine delivers high-speed cutting performance suitable for demanding milling, turning, and grinding operations. The integrated Heidenhain TNC 640 CNC control provides advanced contouring capabilities, supporting up to five simultaneous axes with short block-processing times for rapid execution of complex NC programs. The TNC 640 features a comprehensive cycle package for milling, drilling, boring, and turning, including interpolation turning, constant surface speed, and 3D tool compensation. Its uniformly digital control design, with digital interfaces such as HSCI and EnDat 2.2, enables exceptionally high feed rates and precise motion control. Dynamic Collision Monitoring (DCM) and Advanced Dynamic Prediction (ADP) optimize machining safety and surface quality, while Tool Center Point Management (TCPM) and adaptive feed control enhance accuracy and tool life. The control supports automated workpiece and tool measurement using HEIDENHAIN touch probes, pallet management, and seamless integration with host computers. The machine’s overall dimensions are 86.61 inches wide, 94.49 inches deep, and 114.17 inches high, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial applications, including multi-operation machining, 5-axis HSC, and automated production environments.
