Technical Description

The FFG MAG SPECHT 600 is a high-performance horizontal machining center engineered for precision automotive and complex manufacturing applications. This 3-axis CNC system (expandable to 5-axis with optional A and B rotary axes) features a 23.6" × 23.6" work table capable of supporting workpieces up to 1,100 lbs, with optional table configurations available. The machine is equipped with a horizontal spindle achieving 16,000 RPM at 33.3 HP (30-minute rating) and utilizes HSK-A-63 taper tooling (HSK-100 optional), accommodating a 20-tool automatic tool changer with an exceptionally fast 2.8-second chip-to-chip tool change time. Travel ranges include 35.43" (X), 28.74" (Y), and 33.85" (Z), with optional extended Z-stroke to 35.43", all delivering rapid traverse rates of 2,358 IPM across all linear axes. The optional rotary axes provide 225° A-axis and continuous 360° B-axis positioning for complex multi-faced machining. The SPECHT 600 incorporates a traveling table design with standard dual-pallet capacity (expandable to four pallets) for uninterrupted production flow. Controlled via Siemens 840D CNC or optional Bosch Rexroth MTC200 systems, the machine delivers five-micron accuracy and four-micron repeatability in wet, dry, and MQL machining modes. Its modular construction, compact footprint, and jig boring principle ensure maximum stability and precision for high-volume cubic component production.
