The FPT STINGER 280 APC is a 5-axis vertical machining center designed for high-precision machining of complex parts, particularly suited for mold, die, and aerospace component manufacturing. It features a large working envelope with X, Y, and Z travels of 78.7", 55.1", and 31.5" respectively, allowing machining of sizable workpieces. The machine is equipped with a powerful 33 kW spindle capable of reaching speeds up to 35,000 RPM, facilitating high-speed cutting and fine finishes. Its CNC control provides precise, automated multi-axis positioning and interpolation for intricate 5-sided or multi-angle machining. The STINGER's innovative design includes a rotating milling head and rotary table, both driven by maintenance-free direct drive motors enabling continuous and precise rotation with high positioning accuracy. This assembly supports undercut and inclined plane machining with exceptional versatility.
