Technical Description

This CNC vertical machining center features a large worktable measuring 165" x 40", capable of supporting workpieces up to 6,500 lbs without requiring additional support tables. The spindle is vertical with a standard CAT #40 taper and an optional BT-40 taper, supporting spindle speeds up to 8,000 RPM with an optional upgrade to 10,000 RPM. The spindle motor delivers 25 HP with a 30-minute rating, upgradeable to 40 HP for more demanding applications. Tooling is managed via an Automatic Tool Changer (ATC) with a standard capacity of 20 tools, expandable to 24, with a rapid tool change time of 3 seconds. The machine operates on 3 axes (X, Y, Z) with an option for a 4th axis; axis travels are 160" (X), 40" (Y) with a 50" option, and 40" (Z). Maximum feed and rapid traverse rates for all axes are 400 inches per minute. No pallet changer or U axis is included as standard. The spindle taper types (CAT40/BT40) are industry standard, with BT40 offering symmetrical tooling better suited for high-speed stability and CAT40 characterized by its asymmetry but widespread use. The machine is designed for heavy-duty milling tasks, with emphasis on rigidity, precision, and efficient tooling management, suitable for large workpieces and high-volume production environments. Optional rotary table support and spindle upgrades further enhance versatility for complex machining operations.
