Technical Description
The Gradall XL 3300 is a rough terrain wheeled excavator designed for versatility and performance in demanding construction and excavation tasks. Powered by a Volvo TAD571 VE Tier 4f 5.1L engine delivering 172 horsepower at 2,000 rpm, the XL 3300 meets stringent global emissions standards including Tier-4 Final and State IV (EU) compliance. The excavator operates at an approximate weight of 36,970 lbs, offering a robust and stable platform for various applications. It features a telescoping boom capable of tilting 220°, with an optional 360° tilt for efficient sloping, grading, and material spreading. The boom telescopes out to a maximum reach of approximately 19 ft and achieves a digging depth near 19 ft, enabling deep excavation capabilities. The design allows the operator to dig at a steep 75° angle while maintaining excellent boom visibility throughout the dig cycle.
The hydraulic system uses electronically controlled, pressure-compensated load-sensing valves, providing consistent boom force and efficient tool operation. Hydraulic pressures reach up to 4,900 psi on critical functions such as hoist, tool, and propulsion systems. The excavator includes high torque piston motors powering a two-speed power-shift transmission, allowing speeds up to 20 mph for over-the-road mobility and superior maneuverability on rough terrain. The drive system supports 4x4 configurations with optional blades and outriggers for additional stability and lifting capacity.
Operator comfort is enhanced with a spacious, climate-controlled cab, electronic joystick controls, and excellent all-around visibility. The excavator’s telescoping boom and advanced hydraulics provide fast cycle times for ditching, grading, demolition, and other utility tasks. The XL 3300 is engineered for durability, precision, and efficiency in construction, maintenance, and excavation projects.
