The Haas Automation OM-2A Vertical Machining Center is a compact, high-speed CNC mill designed for precision machining of small to medium-sized parts. It features a 20" x 10" table capable of supporting workpieces up to 150 lbs, making it ideal for prototyping and light production applications. The machine is equipped with a vertical spindle featuring an ISO #20 taper and a maximum speed of 30,000 RPM, powered by a 5 HP (30-minute rating) vector drive for reliable performance in demanding operations. Tooling is managed by a 20-station carousel-style automatic tool changer with a chip-to-chip tool change time of 3.2 seconds, enabling efficient, uninterrupted machining. The OM-2A provides three-axis travel (X, Y, Z) of 12", 10", and 12" respectively, with maximum cutting feed rates of 500 IPM and rapid traverse rates of 757 IPM on all axes, ensuring fast positioning and high productivity. The machine does not include a U-axis or pallet changer, focusing on straightforward, high-accuracy milling tasks.
