The HAAS UMC-1000 Vertical Machining Center is a high-performance 5-axis CNC machine featuring a rotary/trunnion table with a 25" x 25" pallet size. It offers substantial travel capabilities with X-axis at 40", Y-axis at 25", and Z-axis at 25". The machine delivers rapid traverse speeds up to 900 IPM and cutting feed rates up to 650 IPM, ensuring efficient material removal. Equipped with a powerful 30 HP spindle motor, it utilizes a CAT#40 taper spindle capable of speeds up to 15,000 RPM, allowing for precision and high-speed machining operations. The spindle nose to table top distance ranges from 4" to 29". The tool magazine side-mount system accommodates 30+1 tool positions, with rapid tool change times of 2.8 seconds and chip-to-chip times of 4 seconds, enhancing productivity. The B-axis tilts from +120° to -35°, and the C-axis offers full 360° rotation, facilitating complex multi-axis machining. Coolant is delivered at 300 PSI with a chip conveyor system for effective chip removal. Control features include a color monitor, early power failure detection, Ethernet/LAN connectivity, and 1GB standard program memory. Optional probes for tool and part measurement further improve accuracy and setup efficiency.
