Technical Description
The HAAS UMC-750 is a versatile 5-axis vertical machining center featuring a dual-axis trunnion rotary table with a 19.7" x 19.7" work surface, enabling complex multi-sided machining with high precision. It offers a generous travel capacity of 30" (X), 20" (Y), and 20" (Z) axes, supporting large parts and intricate geometries. The machine is equipped with a powerful 30 HP, 40-taper inline direct-drive spindle, capable of speeds up to 8,100 RPM (with optional 12,000 to 15,000 RPM available), ensuring high-speed, high-accuracy cutting performance. The rapid traverse rates reach up to 900 IPM, with cutting feed rates sustaining 650 IPM, supported by advanced vector drive technology for smooth motion control.
The UMC-750 includes a 40+1 side-mount tool changer with a fast tool change time of 2.8 seconds and chip-to-chip time of 4 seconds, optimizing production throughput. Its rotary axes provide a B-axis tilt range from +120° to -35° and continuous 360° C-axis rotation, suitable for full 5-axis machining capabilities. Additional features include programmable coolant systems, chip conveyor for efficient chip evacuation, and an advanced control system with a 15" color LCD monitor, Ethernet connectivity, high-speed machining options, and 1 GB standard program memory. The integrated wireless probing system, spindle orientation, and user-defined macros enhance productivity and accuracy. This machine combines robustness, versatility, and advanced control to meet demanding manufacturing requirements in aerospace, mold making, and precision engineering sectors.
