Technical Description
This CNC machine features a rotary table/trunnion wired for a 4th axis, with a generous table/pallet size of 52" x 23". It offers X, Y, and Z travels of 40", 26", and 25" respectively, enabling machining of large parts. The machine supports rapid traverse speeds up to 710 IPM and cutting feed rates up to 500 IPM, suitable for efficient material removal processes. The spindle utilizes a CAT50 taper, known for heavy-duty and robust machining applications, with a maximum spindle speed of 7,500 RPM driven by a powerful 30 HP motor. The spindle nose to table top distance ranges from 4" to 29", allowing flexibility for various workpiece sizes.
The tool storage features a side-mount tool changer with a capacity of 30 tools and a fast 6-second chip-to-chip time, enhancing productivity. Control options include early power failure detection, remote jog handle, rigid tapping, Ethernet/LAN connectivity, and an optional touchscreen interface, complemented by 1GB memory to handle complex programs.
Additional machine features include a 2-speed gearbox for improved torque and speed range, multi-auger chip conveyor for efficient chip removal, programmable coolant nozzles with a 55-gallon tank supporting both thru-spindle and programmable coolant types, and window air blast to maintain a clear machining area.
