Technical Description
The HAMM HD 12 VO is a compact articulated tandem roller designed for high-quality asphalt compaction, featuring a vibration drum on the front and an oscillation drum on the rear. It has a smooth, non-split drum configuration with a width of 47.3 in (1,200 mm) and a diameter of 28.4 in (720 mm), providing a static linear load of 62.2 lb/in. The machine is powered by a 3-cylinder Kubota D1503 engine meeting EU Stage IIIA emissions, delivering 30.7 hp (22 kW) at 2,700 rpm, with a fuel tank capacity of 11.1 gal (42 L). It features hydrostatic drive with infinitely variable speed control and a maximum travel speed of 7.5 mph (12 km/h). Vibration settings offer selectable frequencies of 67 Hz (4,020 vpm) and 52 Hz (3,120 vpm) on the front drum, with high and low centrifugal forces of 11,690.1 lb (52 kN) and 7,193.9 lb (32 kN). The oscillation system on the rear drum provides tangential compaction forces with selectable oscillation forces of 8,992.4 lb and 5,170.7 lb at frequencies of 39 Hz and 30 Hz, and an oscillation angle of ±8°. The HD 12 VO has an operating weight of 7,650.1 lb (3,470 kg), with a ROPS-only weight of 6,073.8 lb (2,755 kg), and is equipped with a 47.6 gal (180 L) water spray tank. Compact dimensions, articulated steering, and excellent operator visibility make it ideal for maneuvering in tight areas while ensuring efficient, homogeneous compaction.
