Technical Description

The HAMM HD+ 140i VO is a high-performance tandem static smooth drum roller designed for asphalt compaction. It features a 3-point articulated steering system and a vibration and oscillation drum setup, providing excellent compaction results with reduced noise and vibration transmission, ideal for sensitive areas. The roller has a drum width of 84.3 in (2,140 mm) and a drum diameter of 55.2 in (1,400 mm), with a static linear load of 168.6 lb/in. It is powered by a DEUTZ TCD 4.1 L4 4-cylinder diesel engine meeting EPA Tier 4 emissions standards, delivering 154.3 hp (115 kW) at 2,300 rpm. The machine offers two vibration frequencies (40 and 50 Hz) and high/low centrifugal force settings (40,465.7 lb and 21,356.9 lb) for versatile compaction across different asphalt layers. The rear drum provides oscillation with a force of 39,341.6 lb and a frequency of 36 vpm, with a tangential amplitude of 0.1 in and an oscillating angle of 10°. Operating weight is 30,798.6 lb, with a fuel tank capacity of 68.7 gal and a water spray tank capacity of 302.5 gal.
