Technical Description

The HAMM HD+ 90i VV-S is a high-performance articulated tandem smooth drum roller designed for efficient asphalt compaction. It features two smooth/split drums with a drum width of 66.2 in (1,680 mm) and a drum diameter of 47.3 in (1,200 mm), providing consistent, high-quality surface finish. The roller delivers a high centrifugal force of 18,884 lbs (84 kN) and low centrifugal force of 17,535 lbs (79 kN), with nominal amplitudes of 0.025 in (0.61 mm) and 0.016 in (0.40 mm), enabling effective compaction across a range of asphalt mixes and layer thicknesses. Power is supplied by a DEUTZ TCD 3.6 L4 4-cylinder diesel engine producing 114 hp (85 kW), meeting EU Stage V / EPA Tier 4 emissions standards. The hydrostatic drive system provides smooth, infinitely variable travel speeds up to 3.8 mph (6.1 km/h) forward and reverse, with an inside turning radius of 19.9 ft (6.07 m) and a steering angle of ±30° for excellent maneuverability. Operating weight is approximately 21,230 lbs (9,630 kg) with ROPS, increasing to 27,205 lbs (12,340 kg) in static configuration. The machine is equipped with a 220.4 gal (834 L) water spray tank to prevent asphalt adhesion and a 45.8 gal (173 L) fuel tank for extended operation. With a 3-point articulation system, the HD+ 90i VV-S ensures even weight distribution, excellent directional stability, and operator comfort on demanding paving jobs.
