The HEID S-200-2 is a 4-axis horizontal machining center designed for simultaneous dual-spindle operations on rotational components. The machine features a robust main spindle capable of handling workpieces up to 10.4 inches in diameter with a maximum turning length of 44 inches, driven by an 8-inch chuck and powered by a 70 hp motor delivering 4,000 RPM. Complementing the primary spindle, a secondary 9 hp rotary tool operates at 3,300 RPM, enabling concurrent machining operations. Both tool carriers are turret-style with 12 turning tool positions and 6 rotary tool stations each, allowing up to 2 simultaneous cutting tools for enhanced productivity. The machine provides 9.25 inches of X-axis travel and full 44-inch Z-axis travel for longitudinal workpiece positioning, with rapid traverse rates reaching 513 ipm across all linear axes.
