The HEID S-300-2 is a high-performance horizontal machining center with a main spindle capable of handling a maximum turning diameter of 16.000" and a turning length up to 70.150". The spindle features a 10.000" chuck diameter with a maximum swing of 22.830", delivering up to 3,150 RPM and 70 HP for robust machining operations. It is equipped with two turret tool carriers, each supporting up to 12 turning tools and 6 rotary tools, with rotary tools powered by 13 HP and spinning up to 3,000 RPM. The machine supports simultaneous use of 2 cutting tools, enhancing productivity in complex machining tasks. It operates on 4 axes standard, with an optional 5-axis configuration. Axis travels include 11.790" on X with a rapid feed and rapid traverse rate of 393 inches per minute (ipm), 25.240" on Z axis expandable to 70.160" optionally, and matching rapid traverse speed of 393 ipm on Y and Z axes.
