The Heller Machine Tools HF 3500 is a robust 5-axis horizontal machining center designed for high-precision and dynamic production machining. It features a horizontal spindle orientation with the primary spindle taper of HSK-A63, optionally upgradeable to HSK-A100. The standard spindle speed reaches 12,000 RPM and can be optionally increased to 30,000 RPM, powered by a 60 HP motor rated for 30 minutes. The machine offers rapid tool change with a chip-to-chip time of just 2.6 seconds. Its machining envelope includes 28 inches of travel along the X and Z axes and 30 inches along the Y axis, all capable of a 65 IPM rapid traverse rate.
