Technical Description

The Heller Machine Tools HF 3500 is a robust 5-axis horizontal machining center designed for high-precision and dynamic production machining. It features a horizontal spindle orientation with the primary spindle taper of HSK-A63, optionally upgradeable to HSK-A100. The standard spindle speed reaches 12,000 RPM and can be optionally increased to 30,000 RPM, powered by a 60 HP motor rated for 30 minutes. The machine offers rapid tool change with a chip-to-chip time of just 2.6 seconds. Its machining envelope includes 28 inches of travel along the X and Z axes and 30 inches along the Y axis, all capable of a 65 IPM rapid traverse rate. Built with a rugged cast iron bed and a robust steel moving gantry, it ensures maximum rigidity and vibration damping, supporting demanding cutting tasks. The machine is equipped with an NC swiveling rotary table enabling full 5-axis simultaneous machining with high dynamic torque drives and reinforced torque drive on the A-axis.
