The Hermle C 22 Vertical Machining Center is a high-performance, 5-axis CNC machining center designed for precise and dynamic milling operations. It features a robust vertical spindle with an SK40 taper, optionally upgradable to HSK A50, offering speeds up to 15,000 RPM (18,000 RPM optional) and a power rating of 33 HP. The standard table measures 12.6" x 12.6" with an optional larger 17.71" x 14.17" size and supports workpieces up to 330 lbs, with optional support for indexed or rotary tables to enhance flexibility. The machine provides substantial travel of 17.72" in X, 23.62" in Y, and 13.00" in Z, each axis capable of rapid traverses up to 1,965 inches per minute and max feed rates of 236 inches per minute, ensuring fast and efficient material removal. Equipped with a 55-tool automatic tool changer (expandable to 65 tools) with a quick 4.5-second tool change time, the center allows for complex, multi-operation machining without manual intervention. It includes up to 5 axes for simultaneous machining, providing enhanced capability for intricate and precise parts in aerospace, medical, and high-precision industries. Optional pallets and automation systems can be integrated for unmanned, high-throughput production.
