The Hermle C 50 U MT is a high-performance 5-axis vertical machining center designed for simultaneous milling and turning operations. It features a robust rotary table with a clamping surface of 39.300" x 39.300" (Ø 1000 mm) and can support workpieces up to 4,400 lbs (2,000 kg), making it ideal for large and heavy components. The machine is equipped with a vertical spindle using HSK T 100 (optional HSK T 63) taper, delivering up to 12,000 RPM (with an option for 18,000 RPM) and 74 HP (30-minute rating), ensuring high-speed, high-torque performance for demanding applications. The automatic tool changer (ATC) holds 42 tools as standard, expandable to 160, with a rapid chip-to-chip tool change time of 4.5 seconds. Axis travels are 39.300" (X), 43.300" (Y), and 29.520" (Z), with rapid traverse rates of 2,358 ipm on all linear axes. The swiveling rotary table offers a swivel range of +100°/-130° (A-axis) and 360° (B-axis), enabling complex 5-axis simultaneous machining. The C 50 U MT integrates advanced features such as a torque-driven C-axis, integrated balancing system, and ergonomic design for ease of operation.
