Technical Description
The Hitachi LX100 Super is a robust wheel loader designed for medium-duty applications. It features a turbocharged 6-cylinder 6059T engine delivering 115 hp at 2200 rpm and peak torque at 1500 rpm, ensuring efficient power output. The machine's operating weight is approximately 23,415 lbs (10,621 kg), with a static tipping load of 17,245 lbs (7,822 kg). Its bucket capacity measures 2.5 cubic yards heaped (2 m³) and 2.2 cubic yards struck, supported by a breakout force of 22,211 lbs (10,075 kg), enabling effective material handling.
Dimensionally, the LX100 Super spans 23.4 ft (7 m) in length with the bucket on the ground, 8 ft (2 m) in width over tires sized 17.5x25, and stands 10.5 ft (3 m) tall to the top of the cab. The hinge pin reaches a maximum height of 12.3 ft (4 m), with a dump clearance of 8.8 ft (2 m) and a reach at max lift and dump of 3.7 ft (1 m). Ground clearance is 1.3 ft (0 m), and the wheelbase is 9.6 ft (3 m), providing stable maneuverability with a turning radius of 19.1 ft (6 m) and rear axle oscillation of 22°.
Hydraulically, the loader has a pump flow capacity of 46.3 gal/min (174 l/min) with gear-type pumps, relief valve set at 2750 psi, and dump, raise, and lower cycle times of 1.4 sec, 5.8 sec, and 3.2 sec respectively. The transmission is power shift with four forward and three reverse gears, allowing a maximum speed of 23.8 mph (37 kph) forward and 16.9 mph (26 kph) reverse. Operating systems run on 12 V with a 95 A alternator. Fuel capacity is 57.6 gallons (216 l), and hydraulic fluid capacity is 20.1 gallons (76 l), supporting sustained operations under demanding conditions.
